Nosy neighbors and the matrimony of apples and peanut butter

We've had so much fun photographing these sessions, and every family has had a story to tell, so we decided to do a little interview with each family and post it with our image spotlights.

Meet the Hodges Family!

What was your favorite thing about your session?

  • The nosy neighbors. One neighbor accidentally turned his garbage bin over trying to seek a peek at what was going on. We all got a good laugh out of that.

What was your favorite activity during quarantine?

  • Playing board games with my daughter and laughing til our stomachs hurt. Making masks and a summer wreath for my door.

What was your least favorite thing about quarantine?

  • All the bad news and uncertainty

Did you acquire any new hobbies or learn any new skills?

  • I learned how to make a wreath for my front door! Did it just for the photo shoot ;)

What are some things you did to have fun outside?

  • Bike rides!

What was your favorite thing to snack on?

  • In quarantine I discovered the wonderful matrimony between apples and peanut butter. So so good.

What are some things you did to help you feel connected with others?

  • Zoom, zoom and more zoom. Microsoft Teams, teams, and more TEAMS!

What is your favorite memory from quarantine?

  • Slowing down and taking care of my family more. Cooking, talking, laughing, bike rides and reminiscing.

What are you most excited to do after the restrictions are lifted?

  • Go to one of my daughters basketball games. Gosh.......I miss that!

What have you learned?

  • To truly take it day by day. I'm a worry wort by nature and I had to force myself to stay in the moment. Deal with the here and now and I found myself more at peace.

What are you most thankful for about this time?

  • Our health. Our faith. Each other (family)
