Sandy’s passion for connecting with people, and her remarkable ability to capture her subjects’ personalities, make her one of the world’s premier portrait photographers. She holds the prestigious titles of Print Master and Explorer of Light from Canon USA and has served on the Board of Directors for the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Well known internationally, Sandy is featured in television commercials for Canon Asia.
All the recognition she has received is an honor, but Sandy is prouder of her ability to transform a single moment in her studio into a treasured, transcendent work of art. Sandy first established herself and her studio with heart-warming children’s portraits and remains one of the world’s most respected children’s portrait photographers.
Charity plays a significant role in Sandy’s life as well. For over a decade, her Littleton, Colorado-based studio, Sandy Puc' Portrait Design, has been involved with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Locks of Love, Operation Smile, The Children’s Hospital, The Food Bank of the Rockies, and The Denver Dumb Friends League. In 2005, Sandy co-founded Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a nonprofit organization that provides portraiture services to families who have babies that will not leave the hospital. With over 7,000 volunteer photographers in more than 42 countries, this important work reaches families all over the world.
Sandy is also an enthusiastic photography educator who travels the world sharing her knowledge of the industry with other visual artists. In 2008 she began Sandy Puc' Tours, where professional photographers from around the world gain first-hand insight into the industry's latest and greatest tips and techniques. Sandy also founded SandyPucUniversity.com and Ukandu.com, online resources for photographers looking to supercharge their studios through effective and innovative marketing templates and campaigns.
